Excelsior High School was built in 1902 and was originally referred to the "Colored School" until 1928. The school reared many of St. Augustine's top educators, nurses, entrepreneurs, entertainers, and athletes, including NFL star Willie Galimore and civil rights leaders Henry and Katherine Twine.\n\nToday, this once school is home to the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center
